Emergency First Aid at Work Course
Our Emergency First Aid at Work course is specifically focused on employers/employees of a small business and businesses that have a low-risk chance of an accident. This emergency first aid at work course is also available to those seeking to refresh their certificate and takes place in 6 hours over one day.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course includes:
- The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty CPR and defibrillation
- Recovery Position
- Choking
- Seizures
- Shock
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor injuries
- Cuts, grazes and bruises
- Minor burns and scalds
Our Emergency First Aid at Work content aligns with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) syllabus.
First Aid at Work Course
Our First Aid at Work course is similar to our Emergency First Aid course but is set out over 3 days and is aimed at businesses that are at higher risk of accidents happening i.e. construction. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. Having the correct first aid provision in the workplace is not just a legal requirement, it is incredibly important for the safety of all members of staff!
The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as a first aider in their workplace. Successful candidates will learn how to manage arange of injuries and illnesses that could occur at work and will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give emergency first aid.As a regulated qualification, employers can book this course for their employees and rest assured that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without having to undertake any lengthy due diligence checks.

Level 3 Paediatric First Aid
This course is specifically focused towards child carers, registered childminders, creche employees,nursery staff, teachers, nannies as required by OFSTED and those seeking to refresh their registration. The course is set over 2 days, 12 hours in total or the blended option is now available. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
The Level 3 Paediatric First Aid course includes:
- The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and defibrillation
- Recovery Position
- Choking
- Seizures
- Shock
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor injuries
- Emergency needs of children with chronic medical conditions (including Epilepsy, Asthma and Diabetes)
The Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Course aligns with EYFS’s updated syllabus.
Level 2 Mental Health First Aid Course
This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions.Learners undertaking this course will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition.How to start a supportive conversation and when and how to sign post a person to seek appropriate professional help.The course is set over 1 day and the certificate lasts 3 years.
The Mental Health First Aid course will cover:
- What is First Aid for Mental Health?
- Identifying mental health conditions
- Providing advice and starting a conversation
- Drugs and alcohol
- First Aid for Mental Health action plan
Level 3 Mental Health First Aid
This course is set over 2 days and the certificate lasts for 3 years.Throughout this 2-day course, learners will develop the knowledge,skills and confidence to actively promote positive mental health in the workplace by covering a range of topics as above, including:
- Understanding mental health and its importance
- Awareness of their wellbeing as a Mental Health First Aider
- Common mental health conditions
- How to support those experiencing poor mental health at work with tools such as active listening and non-judgemental support.

Course Certification
Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment, learners will be awarded a certificate. The certificate will enable the first aider to give first aid and is valid for 3 or 5 years depending on the course undertaken. It is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. The learner will need to complete the full course again to qualify.
